Addiction Sleep Research (ASR) builds upon the innovative work of Lowell Robertson, M.D., a trailblazer in Addiction Medicine, to advance sleep therapy for a broad spectrum of addictions and related conditions. Dr. Robertson’s groundbreaking contributions laid the foundation for the development of innovative resources, which ASR continues to refine and expand. Today, ASR independently manages the creation and rigorous testing of sleep therapy sessions to ensure their efficacy and continuous improvement. Additionally, ASR is committed to supporting high-risk groups by offering complimentary annual subscriptions to those struggling with destructive addictions and conditions.

Addiction Sleep Research purpose: To combat substance use disorders and other destructive conditions by supervising the development of resources that provide restorative sleep to those in recovery, providing access to these resources for those who cannot afford it, educate the public about the availability of resources to aid in the recovery process, and engage in science based research to increase the scope of knowledge about addiction and destructive behaviors.
Dr. Casey L. Blaine became the new Executive Director of Addiction Sleep Research in February 2025. He continues as the President of Quantitative Difference, LTD whose mission is to help nonprofits quantify their process results, so they become more effective for their clients.
His 46 years of military, federal government, and academia experience enabled him to develop knowledge and insights to pinpoint key processes and their tangible benefits then teach others how to use the same techniques to develop sound organizational results. He has taught undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses at the college and university level. Casey’s varied experiences include graduating from the Federal Government’s Excellence in Government Leadership Program as well as holding an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. His recent speaking engagements at the U.S. Army’s Cyber Command and the Joint Special Operations University both highlighted his passion for results-based action.
As the previous Faculty & Staff (F&S) Development Division Chief at Ft Sill, OK he created the U.S. Army’s premier F&S program recognized as the best throughout the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). His influence led the Army University’s Commandant to ask him to advise and participate in the revision of the US Army’s basic instructor training and curriculum developer courses.
In November 2016 he earned Gold Level Kirkpatrick Four Levels® Evaluation Certification.
